Serious? Texas Rangers still have the best farm system? Dang them. They are going to be good for years.

Screw the Rangers.

Still have to be encouraged with how Z has worked his magic.

Winning ways are coming, my friends.

Cany anyone dig up what the M's farm system was rated the year before or Z's first year? It would be great to compare this too.

Somewhere in the 20s I would bet

And with the expansion of the wildcard, we can still get in without having to beat out the Yankees or Red Sox every year.

In 2009, the M's were 24th. That was during his first full year of work.

Still need to find one more elite hitter to add to our minor league system to make me feel really good about our future.. Hopefully he comes in this year's draft

What's most impressive to me is that whatever our ranking was before the 2011 season, it included Dustin Ackley, Kyle Seager, and Michael Pineda. We're at #6 on this list without them included. Imagine where we'd be at last year without them factored in. Where as it's true that our system is VERY top heavy, I think some of the depth will come when guys like Brad Miller and Francisco Martinez develop, and then yeah, there's the draft in June!
