Are you guys getting up to watch them live? I'm trying to decide if I want to be a trooper and get my ass out of bed at 3 to watch the opener (I work at 8 and have to leave by 7:30) or if I want to DVR it and watch a condensed version just before I go to work? I'm thinking about watching the opener live and DVRing the second game and fast forwarding through the non-action in that one.

I'm rolling with the DVR and watching it when I get home from work most likely. Though it'll be tough to stay off my phone and internet all day to avoid the score.

You're a brave man. My issue is that I spend about half of my work day screwing around on the internet. There's no way I would stumble upon the score.

I will probably just read the score the next day. No way can I afford to stay up and watch the first loss of the season. :(
Hey, I'm optimistic right?

I'm getting up (or most likely staying up) to watch the games. I don't trust myself to get up in the morning and watch the DVR'd version without running into the score on the internet/friends/family by then.

I'm going to the Prospect Insider Viewing Party: http://prospectinsider.com/view/viewing-party:-opening-morning/
I live within a mile of Safeco work near Pioneer Square. I can make it work. I think I'll just go to bed at like 7:00 and get up at 2:00, then go straight to work after the game. Going to be a weird day, but I'm pretty excited about it.

If I were in your shoes, I'd do the same. That looks like a blast! Let us know how it goes, I imagine there will be some pretty intense M's fans there.

Oh, I will. I'm expecting it to be pretty funny, but also really fun. Plus, free food!

It'll be 5 am here on the east coast. I have class at 8, so I'll just wake up and watch it until I have to leave for class. Might skip it if it's a close game.

I'm just going to stay up and watch it and likely skip work the next day.
This whole Japan thing screws everything up. I get that it is a unique experience and everything, but the timing throws everything off. Our rotation will partly rely on simulated games and the weirdest thing is we come back home and play more spring training games before continuing the regular season. I guess the good news is we get to open with the crappy A's.
