Haven't exactly been encouraging. Iwakuma continues to look ineffective, even against him home landers, and our bullpen is getting rocked. I see Oakland got smashed 12-6 yesterday too, but it still doesn't make me feel great.
Hopefully the players are just still getting used to their new routine down their and the fact that they don't have any scouting reports isn't helpful.

It's a combination of things probably.
But Japan has won the last two Baseball World Classics and have sent dozens of stellar players over here that have been successful.
Starting to think Major League Baseball players should be leaving their home country to play in Japan.

Iwakuma gets lit up and he is "surprised" he is in the bullpen.
I wouldn't be to worried about Noesi his control could use some work but he is a fly ball pitcher and the Tokyo Dome looks to have the dimensions of a hitters ball park 328-400-328 so that HR wasn't really a surprise.

The Japanese teams and their fans were obviously fired up about playing American teams. Sounds like our guys are just sleepwalking to opening day.

Guys, we have Felix going up against one of the worst lineups in baseball on Wednesday. We'll be fine there. It's game two that worries me.

It's every spot in the rotation after that, that worries me.

Figgins is already inserting his stink throughout the lineup. Now that he's at the top - he effects everyone below him.

Don't pay attention to spring training baseball. We've got 162 games this season and these guys are just getting the rust out. The Yankees and Red Sox look terrible every spring.
