I mean, this is ONLY the fourth game. Are we ready to declare Figgins MVP too?

I could get used to this offense. Not 7 runs all the time, but 4-5 will work.

I'm 100% certain Chone Figgins has already hit more balls with authority in the first four games of this year than he did all of last season.

At least comeback player of the year if he keeps this up.

Small sample size. He will still suck like he always has for us.

It was very nice watching this team put some hits together and actually score some runs for the pitching staff! I will get on the "cautiously optimistic" bus, for now! I'm just glad that baseball is back!
Go M's!

Guess it was just a fluke after all.

Let's not jump off the wagon, just yet! It's only been a few games into the season and the M's are facing a very good team in the Rangers. Let's get past this series and hold our own.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anticipating anything more than 500 this year, but I am highly encouraged by the bats so far. (except for last night, of course)
Hang in there!!

I think Ack is due. He's too good of a hitter to be 0-8 in a series in Arlington. I think he'll pop one tonight. 2-4 with a homer and a couple of rbis.

I agree. You can tell he's just missing it right now. He always barrels the ball up, but right now he's just getting too much air under it. He'll straighten it out soon.

He's really the only guy in the order I have absolutely no worries about. Smoak looks like the same exact guy he did last year swinging at bad pitches and fouling off meat balls while the ball is exploding off Montero's bat like I thought it would.
Throw Seager in there with Ackley as well. I think he could be a .290, #2 hitter for quite some time.

Yeah. I'm afraid at some point we may have to move Ackley to the OF and plug Seager in at 2nd. With Liddi, Catricala, and Martinez knocking down the door, if Seager keeps hitting the way he is, we have to find a spot for him. Guess it's a good problem to have though.

I don't know, I might rather just shift Catricala to the OF and maybe find a new spot for Liddi. This organization invested so much time into making Ackley a second basebman and he's become a pretty good one. I'd like to see him hitting 2nd and playing second every day for the next decade.

That's a strong possibility too. I just don't know if Seager has enough power to hold down the third base spot, but who knows?
