As soon as we're up ten runs in a blowout, Iwakuma will pitch. He is neither a gritty, proven veteran nor a promising kid, which makes him invisible to Wedge.
Remember Jeff Gray?

He could've easily pitched the first blowout loss in Texas in the latter innings.

I think there is something wrong with his velocity ever since he hurt his shoulder in Japan when he was playing over there last season maybe Wedge just isn't confident in using him yet.

Well he should be on the DL and Shawn Kelley should be up here if that's the case.

I'm pretty sure he's just sitting in the bullpen writing a novel, and Wedge doesn't want to disturb him.

He wouldn't be the first Mariners pitcher to have a novel to his credit.
The difference is, I never hoped Miguel Batista would come out and pitch.

Between he and Jaso, we have two guys basically rotting on the bench. The worst part about Jaso is that he's better than his "superior."
