How much longer does Figgins get at the top of the lineup before Z and Co. are convinced he's a worthless shit???

He's done one thing nicely this year and that's working deep into counts, especially early in the game getting the rest of the line up a look. But yeah, he looks pretty much as helpless as he has the past two years. I'd rather just bump Ichiro back to the top, put Seager 2nd, Ackley 3rd, Montero 4th and Smoak 5th.

He will play as long as there is a glimmer of hope someone will trade for him

He should of been cut sometime last year, so god knows we might have to bear with him for the remaining time left on his contract.
I'm hoping we can find a club stupid enough to trade us something for him, even if we only get an AA prospect for him!

Hell, I'm sure Z would be happy for a bag of chips just to unload his contract.

He should be cut right now despite the sport radio around here trying to say he has improved he is hitting .215 and only has a OBP of .279 that is terrible for a lead off hitter.

I've been rooting for the guy for the sake of getting something out of his contract, and he was obviously a very good player before we signed him, but with that said, after watching the guys today without him his time is definitely running out. Originally I hated the idea of Ackley hitting lead off because he's a guy that can drive in runs, but it's hard to argue with the results from today (not that one game is a conclusive sample size). Anyways, once Carp comes back is when things will get interesting.

The only problem with Ackley hitting leadoff, is who hits #2? Idk if I can take many more games watching Brendan Ryan there.

Wedge puts Figgins on notice, this from Baker's pre-game blog today:
In the case of Figgins, Wedge said he is mystified by all the strikeouts he's seeing from his veteran leadoff hitter.
"I don't know where they're coming from,'' Wedge said. "I didn't see that one coming. Because from what I saw this spring and even early on, he's a guy who had the ability to foul off pitches when he needed to. And did a good job with two strikes, fighting through ABs. And for whatever reason right now, there's a lot of swing and miss. And that's something he has to rectify.''
And Figgins had better rectify it soon.
"We're still giving Figgins an opportunity, but he has to do it -- simple as that,'' Wedge said. "I mean, if he does, we'll kee him in there. If not, we'll make a change.''
