Today I was going to the UW from Kent (my hometown). While I was waiting for the 150 bus to take me to Seattle, I saw people standing and waiting for the sounder. Usually the train doesn't run on Sunday so I hadn't planned on taking it, but then it hit me.... they must be going to the ballgame.
So I decided I would catch the train into Seattle since it is about twice as fast as taking the bus, but I didn't plan on going to the ballgame.
Just then, a guy approached me and saw my hat and asked me "Are you going to the ballgame?"
I said, I was thinking about it, but probably not. He responded "Hey, I got a free ticket if you want to go"
I looked at him and said "free?"
He said yeah and pulled a ticket out... I glanced at it and it was section 121, which is right in front of 1st base ($40 value).
I opened my wallet and he said "no", but I said "at least let me give you money for a beer" and he agreed.
And that is how I got to go to this baseball game for (virtually) free, on this gorgeous day.
At games I have attended, the M's have a 100% win record. :cool:
