The Yankees pitching has been awful this season outside of C.C. We get a struggling Kuroda and Hughes on Friday and Saturday, respectively, before getting old man Pettite on Sunday.

Felix owns the Yanks, so I like our chances tonight, and hopefully we can steal one of the next two as well.

I hate the Yankees, so let's kick their ass.

1 would be OK, 2 would be great, and 3 outstanding.

Very interested in Montero's ABs in NY. Besides wins, I'm rooting for him to piss off some Yankees fans.

At least he hit a homer, but it was a shitty game.

Yes it was. For the first time all season, surprisingly, I got really pissed off and yelled and turned the game off. Brendan Ryan. Bases loaded. One Out. Strikes out on four pitches. Livid. I was livid.

I calmed down and turned the game back on the radio in the 8th, just time time to hear Delabar serve that homer up to Jones.

Sigh. Still glad to see that Montero hit one out. Getting pretty well done with Brendan Ryan, especially hitting near the top of the order. Remember Jack Wilson? He could pick it at short to, it didn't stop him from sucking. We need some hitters in the line up. If he can't hack it, bring in Kawasaki. He's not a world beater at the plate, but he's better than Ryan at this point and won't embarrass himself at short stop. What is the measuring stick half way through the second month? Less than .100? Is that what it's going to take to sit this guy down? Sheesh.

Hey Sports Fans!

Felix gettin' cracked. That was the last thing I expected to go wrong. Courtesy of Raul, Jeezuz h, that was sick. And Ryan w/ the bases loaded. Hey, look on the bright side, he didn't hit into a double play. lol. Remember when Boon got to the point where he couldn't hit an eleven yard dumpster with a baseball bat? Yeah, wasn't long after that he got a hole in his mitt. There's a bronze tribute to Boon's old glove on the corner of 1st Ave. S. and Royal Brougham Way. Or is it Carlos Guillens? I uh uh. That sculpture is freaky dubious. Might be bad luck.

What ever happened to Funny Nose and Glasses Night? I had a dream where Major League Baseball merged with Pro Wrestling. Two ex-strippers escort the hitter to the box, take his sequins cape, and hand'im a bat. He smacks some fanny, turns to the seats and starts barking at the crowd n' stuff; 'does a really animated warmup routine... The really whacky part was the batter had to be hit 'twice' by the pitcher before taking base, but he got to go to second. The short story is: I think Millwood'd blend nicely with the above format. I'd be such a scream no one would care who won or lost.

Cut me some slack. We all have to grieve in our own way, and besides, it's damn near 3:30 in the a.m., I'm jacked up on Pepsi, and out of cigarettes. Go M's.

Have a feeling this series could get very ugly with Noesi and Millwood on the mound the next two days. Yuck.

Hey Sports Fans!

Wow, you gotta' hold Carp pretty much responsible for screwing up Noesi's shut-out. As for 'The Wedge', facetiousness aside, I liked it leaving Hector out on the mound as the game was slipping away. As if to say, 'it's all yours kid, get tough or die and we'll see if our bats can pull this one out'. Brutal yet good call. Tough love. Then again, speaking of love - I'll kiss a fat mans ass if Millwood saves a sweep vs. the Yanks.

I've got a suspicion it could become much mo-ugly if Boston decides to get it in one (a-humm) sock while the M's are in town. Boston is sweating it. They're coming off their cheese. They ain't supposed to beat us, right? Split? Cleveland is leading the AL Central. Iffy division or no, that series will not be a cakewalk. Then if the Denvers see the Bostons do anything, they might get that winning feeling. Then it's the back to the 'Safe' for a home stand. Whew! Oh baby, what a relief. ...If this month starts to smell, and I mean really smell, how long do you think it'll be before hearing rumblings; before maybe prematurely bringing up some new guys - before the inquisition of Wedge?

LOL.

I won't go that far, but I'll be damn shocked that's for sure. Wouldn't surprise me if tomorrow is Millwood's last start as a Mariner. He will get crushed in the band box that is Yankee Stadium.

Ok never mind we made Phil Hughes look real good lol hopefully we don't do the same for Boston when we face Beckett on Tuesday.

If another loss tomorrow means Millwood's on his way out, then bring out the lumber Yanks! Really. Erasmo went five scoreless tonight, Iwakuma's just sitting there, Carraway even had a 7 inning, 1 hit outing last night in his first AAA start.

Heck of a game for Casper.

Uh boy... Think I'll wait till we find out who won the Mariners Biggest Fan contest. Some big fat guy from Alaska or something. I'll see if I can pull a few strings and work out a deal w/ MLB, The Seattle Mariners Baseball Organization, and Root Sports - do the dirty deed on live television the home game before the All Star break. lol. Woops.

It's so strange how Millwood tends to have that one meltdown inning but is usually fairly effective otherwise. Noesi is sort of the same. If Noesi could figure out these two things, he could be a useful back of the rotation guy: 1. Pitch effectively early, 2. If in trouble, pitch out of it.
That second one is something I've noticed Vargas has gotten much better at. It could be due in part to the mechanical adjustment JosephC has posted about several times that has made him more effective in general, but that was a big weakness for him in the past- He'd be pretty effective for the most part and then get into one or two innings where the wheels would just fall off.

Also, to bucky_joe- Keep posting dude! You're funny as hell.
