So the M's are traveling to the stadium on the other side of I-90!

Puyallup/Tacoma native Jon Lester will be tonight, while we see Josh Beckett tomorrow.

There was a time where I would of been very worried about facing those two pitchers, but they seem to be doing terrible so far this season (Boston is last in runs allowed in the entire MLB!)

Though they had nearly swept the Indians, so that could be worrisome, but we'll see. We SHOULD be able to edge out a sweep in this two game series, but anything less than taking one game should be unacceptable.

I hate two game series. If we win one, are we happy or sad?

Baseball is stupid sometimes.

I hate four game series for the same reason haha

We suck on the road and Lester and Beckett are bound to turn it around at some point.

I say Boston wins both.

I think we'll get at least one.

Not a big fan of that lineup i would put Seager at 5 Smoak still has alot more to show before i think he should be moved up maybe they think it will get Smoak going though hitting inbetween Montero and Seager.

Replace Brendan Ryan with Kawasaki and I like it.

I'd say we take one of two. And I'm happy with a split.

At least Ryan isn't hitting second and the line up contains all of our top 4 hitters, none of which are being given breaks for wacky L/R match ups and/or a "mental break". Looking for Smoak to continue his little upswing in solid contact and production. It was nice to see him jump all over a pitch. More please.

Because of the level of talent the Sox have I'd be ok with one of two. However, because of how much they're struggling I don't think taking both is unlikely.

The key to the Sox is getting into their bullpen. When Alfredo Aceves is your closer, you know it stinks.

Not going to happen today with Lester throwing a perfect game

Well... I'd be happy to see a W in game two, but not counting on it. I get a freak'n headache thinking about this team!! They are so frustrating to watch... yet I do... What's wrong with me!?!? Good god! It's 80 degrees outside and I'm sitting here watching this "team" play... FML

Dude we suck so hard.

It's like our guys, no matter how talented they might be, are thinking "hey, we're in a Mariners uniform. We're not supposed to beat these guys! Let's just lie down and get our asses kicked!"

Boston isn't shit. Their lineup was nothing outside of the top four and we played scared. Beckett threw plenty of fat pitches right down the middle and I can't even begin to tell you how shitty our guys are at hitting the ball. Meat pitch - fouled back. Meat pitch - pop up to the infield. WTF!?!

The Boston radio guy said it best when I was riding home.

He was looking over the lineup and reading the numbers:

"You could call this Seattle lineup, punchless." What a great word.

Hey Sports Fans!

Misread starting time. Switched on the t.v. right on cue for the last out. Jeezuz; another buttwoopin'. Punctuated by a shut out. Man am I glad to have missed that game. It's agony wanting and waiting and hoping to 'be there' for the first moments of a 14 game winning streak. Got to tip your rally hat to the Sox for exercising restraint with regard any celebratory post game antics. HA! Perhaps those Boston bastards do have some class. So I guess the next thread in this category will read: Cleveland Series... Yawn. I still got an early 70's vintage Dodgers jacket in the closet. I guess in a couple of years If we start showin' some sack I could jump on the M's bandwagon - pretend I was a diehard through the entire ordeal. It's a thought. So is self medication. I uh uh. I suppose I could move into a trailer court and start drinking cheaper booze. Yeah, accumulate a terrycloth vodka drinking suit with a blue compass rose embroidered on the back. Give away all my money and wander aimlessly in downtown Las Vegas; walk those dark cold lonely sidewalks looking for some hole to crawl into. Maybe hit the sports book and put a fist full of bummed change on a three spot M's ticket. lol. No really. Thanks' for letting me ramble. 'Feel better already. Whew_ Game face! Got to get it together for first pitch tomorrow. I think we got a shot.

Grinz',

Buck

The Mariners don't deserve a "Cleveland series" thread.

We suck and will get shut down by shitty Ubaldo Jimenez. Watch and see.
