Intern Needed to Track Stats at Safeco

Hey everyone, what's up. First time poster looking for a little lineup help. We are a new sport stats/tech company that is doing some research at Safeco this season. Please see below, you get to go to the game for free and get a little food/beverage money...plus hopefully develop a cool little Seattle based sports tech company!


IDEALSEAT INTERNSHIP 2012

IdealSeat is looking for an intern for summer 2012 to assist with the development of our business plan and collection of data for our ticket model.

Started in Seattle in 2011, IdealSeat aims to collect a series of “non-traditional” seating metrics and incorporate into a sales model. Sit where you want to sit is our goal and we have developed a mobile app to collect data for this purpose.

For 2012 we are looking for an intern to assist with research for the business plan. This will require two tasks:

- Attend 15-20 baseball games and collect data
- Review and research baseball related ticket models for business plan

Tickets will be provided for games and a company iPad will be provided for games. As well a beverage stipend of $10 per game attended will be provided.

I would love to give all the details but we are going stealth at this point so one the bigger ticket sales companies doesn't grab the concept. It would be a plus if you had a high level of skill for following the path of the ball during the game, logging some results within 5 seconds, and going back to enjoying your beverage and watching the game. We have an app that makes it super simple on most mobile devices.

And since I am not giving much detail I will say that IdealSeat was started by 6 local Mariners fans who are all basically stats geeks with some tech background. We hope to crowd source information collection to improve the entire fan experience and seating models.

If the Mariners don't produce a World Series in the next decade (not holding my breath) I think at least we can provide the world with better seating models, right?

If we had the resources we would definitely do that and also would have also acquired prince and Albert in the offseason hahaha
