I can't stop myself thinking how Dave Nieuhaus would have called this great moment for the Mariners... We all now the bread, the grandma and the salami time but... Man how would our beloved broadcaster would have announced it ?

As this question will remain forever unanswered, would you please, Mariners fans, try to put yourself in The voice of the Mariners and lets imagine what it could have sound like (I'm still looking for mine... Just wanted to lauch the thread ASAP !)

Listening to Rick Rizz call it, made me think the exact same thing!
It's really hard to say what he would of said, I'd imagine of Dave were still with us, he would of came up with a pretty memorable line!

I wish I could hear him calling this game in heaven... I bet it sounded something like:

"As Felix stares down to the catcher with a 2-2 pitch, you can feel the intensity rising from 24,000 in attendance. Here's the 2-2 pitch on the way now.... and he STRIKES HIM OUT. MY OH MY!! The mariners have a complete game pitched by the young righty, and he lives up to his name "King". They fans are going crazy and so is Felix as he pumps his arm in celebration. What a great moment in Mariners baseball. My oh my!"

I appologize I don't know the pitch counts or the attendance, so I filled it in.

I thought Sims did a decent job, but I agree, Dave would have nailed it.

It is a shame he wasn't here to see it...

I agree on Sims. That was a good job cause he really started at the end of the 5th. I really enjoyed the fact he started early to create the feeling something big was coming so we could appreciate the all way.
