Ouch. I feel bad for that kid. I liked him a lot as a Mariner.

Side note: There must be about a 10-1 ratio for crowing about trades that didn't work out vs. trades that worked out great. Can we at least acknowledge that the Jesus Montero trade looks pretty great, and the Josh Lueke for John Jaso trade was pretty OK? John Jaso is the perfect example of what drives me nuts- whining about his lack of playing time earlier in the season, but very little acknowledgment that we got him for a sex offender that tanked in Tampa. Credit where it's due, that's all I'm saying.

I always liked Pineda, but I like Yankee failure even more. I just can't stand uninformed fans that cry about all of the Mariners good players playing for the Yankees.
