I have a strong feeling the M's sign one of these guys before all is said and done. Hamilton will be a little too much. Who would you rather have of the duo?

Swisher and it's not close. Bourn would be a fine addition if we had a little more thump in the line up. Unfortunately we don't, and that's really what we need most. High .OPS guys. Bourn is fast, an above average hitter, and a top 5 defender, so it wouldn't suck to have him on the team by any means. The comparisons to Figgins are retarded. As retarded as calling something retarded, which is pretty retarded. I'm burned out on anticipation. Can you tell?

I also prefer Swisher over Hamilton due to risk and cost, but I'll be honest... Regardless of the cost, I'd be pretty psyched to have Hamilton. Just not counting on it.

As for the OP, give me Swish. He's patient at the plate, doesn't really get himself out and has power to the gaps. Something this team desperately needs in the middle of the order. He's also a fun guy to root for. He'll become an instant fan-fave in Seattle (as long as he doesn't slump at the dish.)

I'll take Swisher as well. I think he can if nothing else bring some leadership to this team. I think we have some talent on this team but they need another player to bring it out. And they don't have that.

No point in signing either of them now. Either way, the M's will take a backseat to the Rangers and Angels.

I don't see why not. I like Saunders in the OF, but outside of him the spots are open as far as I'm concerned. A few years ago I would've reserved a spot for Gutti, but I have no faith in him staying healthy anymore.
