Mariners vs. A's - 4/6/2010

This one could be a challenge as Dallas Braden (3.89 ERA last year) takes on Ian Snell (4.84). If the hitting doesn't take place, this could be a bad ball game. Gametime is 7:05 PM and it will be on FSN live.

Braden is coming off an injury from the second half of last year. Apparently he can't feel anything in one of his feet. Hopefully, we can at least get his pitch count up and get into their bullpen early again.

If Snell can hold the A's to around 2 or 3 runs through 6 innings we will have a chance to win.

Look for Mike Sweeney to make his debut tonight.

It all depends if we get good Snell or bad Snell--and if we have umpires like last night, Snell will struggle to not walk a lot of batters

That is what i've noticed about Snell too. He's either on or he's off and you can never know which you'll get. If I were a betting man, I'd take my bets to a different game.

Ok I already have this figured out. This guy is a mole for the Yankees organization.

And the game is over. We lose. Whatever. Not impressed with Wak's choice to stick him out there again after getting hit up.

Wak wants to try to save the pen some. Last season they fell apart at the end, but this year he's trying to limit the innings.

Plus if we take Tex out and the game goes another couple of innings then we'd be out of pitchers. Texeira is supposed to be able to go 2 or 3 innings, he's our long man.

I thought he had good stuff. You have to remember that was his first appearance in a major league game, he was probably a little rattled to say the least. His slider looked filthy, he just needs to locate a little better and he'll be alright down the road.
