In case you didnt hear, ms and dbacks agreed to trade but he rejected it. I personally like upton as addition to the team but it sounds like 4 prospects in return. Good or bad deal?

Upton is a legit bat. However, I would not have pulled the trade because of Walker. Gotta spend the money to make a threatening team. Not everything can go through trades.

Upton for Pryor, Franklin, Furbush and one of our three prized pitching prospects?

Upton is good, but not THAT good. I'd hope that we would have learned our lesson from selling the farm for a player after the Bedard deal!

I generally agree that it is too much to pay, but the fielder and hamilton chase and fails tell is that seattle needs to overpay for offense. So you have to look at it in that light. And when do those prospects help us out? You can only rebuild for so many years...

Eh, if we're going to sell the farm for a player, he better hit over .300 and have at least 25 HR. He only had 17 last year, and in hitter friendly Arizona!
