Living in Texas, I don't get many opportunities to visit the great city of Seattle, where I grew up as a kid. I used to go to M's games fairly regularly in the late 70's and early 80's before moving in '84. Only once did I see them at home since then, and that was around '96 during a visit.

Now I just returned after seeing my first game at Safeco, and WOW was it a great night! Not only did I get to see Cliff Lee pitch a complete game shutout (1-0 Friday night), but both Pete Carroll AND Joel McHale were on hand for the festivities! Was very impressed with the ball park and atmosphere, and even the outside vendors selling hot dogs and what not.

Was my wife's first time to Seattle, and the game made it that much more memorable. This will definitely become an annual event.

Cool stuff man. I wish I could get out to Seattle because I've never been before. Living over in North Carolina makes it tough, but I stay up most nights and watch the M's play. I have seen them play in Baltimore and in Atlanta which was a lot of fun, but I really want to travel to the Safe because I heard it is an awesome ballpark.

Here's to hoping I get to go before I die!

I feel your pain. I want to go to a game at PNC park before I die, but I want to wait for the Pirates to be decent. Seems like I have a better chance of finding Jimmy Hoffa's body using a magic 8-ball.

Good to hear! Safeco Field is indeed one of the nicest ball parks. My favorite still is the Giant's park (AT&T Park). That is one BEAUTIFUL ballpark. We have one of the nicest without a doubt though.

Sounds like you had a great experience! I have never been to Seattle but I've always wanted to go and check out Safeco Park. It's a beautiful park and Seattle is a beautiful city.

I would love to go to a game at Safeco Park as well. The best place I've ever been, and ever will go is Wrigley Field. If you haven't been to Wrigley, then you need to make plans to go. It's just an amazing atmosphere and experience, anyone would love it.
