I want YOUR help with a blog that could really take off.
6
I'm proud to say that I am about ready to launch a blog about the Seattle Mariners. The only catch is that this blog will not be written by 1 person, the goal is to have a blog written by several people to give different perspectives on the game. The idea is sorta like Bleacher Report, except we'll only have selected people writting these blogs and it will mariners related only.
The web address is http://www.marinersreport.com/
I have put up a few blog entries more to show format tha anything else.
If you are interested in helping with this project let me know. Must have good grammar and know what you are talking about. Those are the only two requirements that I can think of at this time.
If you're interested, just post here and I can help get you set up with an account. My goal is to make a seperate section on the forum for those who help with the blog and only have it visible to those who do blog work.
Thanks for reading.

I would love to be in, but I just don't know how much time I'm going to have to write. I have to write a couple of posts per week for my own site. How much would you need out of me JC. I could probably post once a week or something like that. I do pretty good work, you can read the posts on my forum.

I don't know if I'm wordy enough.
Seriously- If you need writers, I can write.

I'm in if you still want some more writers. I'm somewhat intelligent, lol, but I know baseball.

Joseph, I have two blog topics in my head that I'd like to run by you for posting. Would you prefer that I write them first for your review, or let you know what my ideas are first? Is there a general word count you're looking for?

My bad on this whole thing. I'll give anyone who is interested access to post them themselves. I'm in the process of moving it to a safer server, as it is still on the old server where this forum got "PWND" I believe is the term. I should have it done within 48 hours.

If the offer still stands, I'd be very interested. I was writing on my own blog for a while (megamariner.net) but had a baby and took my talents to South Beach.. wait... Anyways, I've toyed with the idea of writing again, and even started up a wordpress "free version" of megamariner to see if I still wanted to do it. You can see my work here, http://megamariner.wordpress.com/ With that said, finding time to write more than once or twice a week is tough for me. I've always thought it would be great if I could find other people to write with (much like USS, LL, PRO Ball NW etc)
If this is something you want to get going on a more regular basis, I think between 4-5 of us we could put out some quality content on a regular basis. If not, no hard feelings.
I am also a very active roto fantasy baseball player. Not sure if your blog would need/want a mariner related fantasy post from time to time, but I have some interesting takes on a few Mariners this year also.
Go Mariners.
EDIT: started writting at www.megamariner.net again. I hope to be able to contribute to this blog also.

The more I look at the blog setup/layout the more it inspires hope that it could become a mariner blog staple. It's very well put together (minus a lack of posts of course) Who designed the blog/graphics? Job well done.

I could help with the blog some too. Probably an article or two a week once the season rolls around. I already write for my site for ECU and then Conference USA on Bleacher Report so It'd be tough, but I could find some time. I know Clarknova is a great writer...not sure how much time he has or anything, but once he gets going, he's got some great stuff worth reading. TellittotheDA and Joseph both posted some pretty solid articles in the past. That's five ppl right there. Say 1 article a week or so by each person and that is quality stuff.

Any thoughts on this?
I really feel like we have some great baseball minds here that come put together something very special.

I'm in. I guess I haven't paid as much attention to the blog because I feel like if I'm going to spend an hour or two on a post, I want people to read it and get feed back. I post on the forum for conversations sake. I don't want to talk to myself about baseball, I want to interact with other fans. If there were some sort of loose schedule, like we each do a post a week, or something like that, it could be pretty slick. Thanks again for the kind words Igoe. I would also like to nominate megamariner, I checked out his main blog- it's quality stuff. He had a Liriano trade post up before I read that speculated anywhere. I've got some ideas for posts and I think with our little group, we could get some diverse opinions on the blog. The thing about multiple posters is that when a new post comes up it knocks the previous one down. I wouldn't want to step on someone's hard work by posting too soon after theirs, which is why I think some sort of "loose schedule" would be good. I don't know... Either way though, I'm down to make words about the M's.

MegaMariner definitely does a nice job. If you guys combined with him, I think it'd be cool. Geoff Baker is doing around the blogosphere everday that could get you some looks if you write interesting pieces.

I agree, Megamariner's blog is really good information. I just have to update the wordpress and change a few things and it should be ready to go.
