Aardsma is constantly returning questions from reports back with another question like it's never his fault. After this blown save he said the following:
"I was trying to go away, and the pitch came back over the plate. It kind of jammed him, but he muscled it through the hole. What are you going to do?''
And then the loss against the Yankees less than two weeks ago he stated:
"No question. I've made that pitch every time I've faced him. Every time I've faced him, I've attacked him like that. What am I going to do, change my game plan because he got one up in the air and it got out? I was throwing the ball well, I had a good angle on it, I was making good, solid pitches. If you saw the first swing, why would you change anything?"
The more I read this guy, the more I think he really believes he has top notch stuff. Welcome to reality Mr. Aardsma. You are now 0-6 and one of the worst closers in the game this year. Maybe it is time you do change your game plans because they arn't working so well right now. And for heavens sake, PLEASE stop returning questions to reporters.
