I admit, I found the link to this article in the Times Forum- a place I like going to like I like taking a dump in the bathroom at the airport.
I find myself there out of a habitual site visit order.

Over the past few months, those of us with twitter, or access to a television or radio have begun to hear little tid bits of the statistical break down of how bad we are this year. I know they're only going to get worse (and more frequent) as we wind down the season, so I thought I'd just post a link to this article (because it really goes in depth about it) so that we can all wallow in just how crappy this all turned out.

We all know we're bad. How bad?
According to ESPN, there hasn't really been worse. Ever.

ROFL. Great link.
My favorites:

The RBI leader is Gutierrez with 58. Fifty-eight! Joe DiMaggio once drove in 53 in one month.

Not to be outdone, the designated hitters are batting .189 with a .266 on-base percentage.

Mariners second basemen and shortstops have combined for two home runs -- or two fewer than Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo.
