I have to agree with everything said in this article. Ichiro is a first ballot Hall of Famer right now.

Thanks for the welcome. Ichiro is one of my favorite players so I wanted to share the link.

He doesn't suck! Stick around and keep posting, this is a cool site. Way less trolls and only a few know-it-alls (Hey, I can't help it if I know stuff!).

Let me also welcome you. Ichiro does not suck, but I think the fear that people have is his age and the fact that his base hits rely on speed. I think the question is how long can he remain the superstar he has been for Seattle? That is what brings up the Ichiro topics the most.

Well he certainly is getting up there in years in terms of baseball but he takes care of himself really well. Guys that take care of themselves well can last a lot longer than normal players. We're not talking about Mo Vaughn here.

I remember reading an article about Ichiro in the USA Today once where he said he wanted to play outfield until he was 40 and then he wanted to become a pitcher. Now he was probably joking around but he did say he could throw the ball 95 mph which I could believe with his rocket arm. Wouldn't it be funny if he started pitching?

Oh he can pitch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoOnzwJOAFM. He hit 90 MPH
And i'm not sure about this but apparently he warmed up as a pitcher in Japan. From translation:

Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki (35) September 7, conducted by Skymark Kobe bullpen pitching. 56 balls sprinkled with a velocity of pitching well in a straight fork. Quick pitching position and also showing off the set, he was a partner catcher yuan Yanagisawa Hirokazu Giants training camp (37), Orix catcher Huzimoto Hiroshi yuan (32), but also surprised by a strong force just like a pitcher.
