Folks, I think he's coming.

ESPN analyst Bobby Valentine confirmed Wednesday that he has taken himself out of consideration for the Marlins managing job for 2011. Valentine had substantive talks with the Marlins about their managing job after they fired Fredi Gonzalez in June, but no deal was reached, and the Marlins named Edwin Rodriguez as interim manager for the rest of the season.

Valentine said he has had constant contact with the Marlins about the managing job since the end of the season, but Valentine said he decided to go in another direction.

Yep, North.

Sure as heck would make sense why he would withdraw.

Yea but isn't the Marlins owner the guy who did something underhanded to get his new stadium that there was an article about? Sorry if im wrong. Could be they won't offer him good payroll of course he won't get much to handle here probaly at first either considering our situation but i think its more of an atraction to him getting to manage Ichiro and considering his roots and all.

Still many Managerial jobs out there to.

Wait! BOBBY Valentine?! This whole time I thought we were talking about 80's professional wrestler Greg "The Hammer" Valentine! I thought THIS guy was going to be our new manager:

That's the guy I wanted. Nevermind. I don't want Bobby Valentine. Do you think they're related? I don't think "The Hammer" has a gig right now... Just putting that out there.

The Hammer Valentine will get us quicker to a world series than Bobby Valentine.

Plus, dude, if they named The Hammer the manager, and your last name is Figgins... I think you'd just have to shit yourself.

Imagine if you were an umpire and The Hammer came out in his hearts n' sequins bathrobe to argue balls and strikes! I think you'd just have to give him the call to get him away from you.
