The last fourteen hours of the Cliff Lee trade

Re: The article- At least Cashman is grown up enough to admit that the M's just took what they thought was the better offer. Interesting to see that the F.O. Put it back in NY's court and said basically, "throw one of these guys in and we're back in business", and that was refused. So many people have characterized the situation like Seattle played NY to get Smoak. Yankees fans are priceless: "New York doesn't forget!" Go cry all over your championship trophy you frickin' babies. Redefining arrogance.

Im kind of back and forth on this one if we release Lueke i don't know which one is the better deal because the way Lueke was playing Triple A he could replace Lowe but there going to just out right release him (No ones going to trade for him they know we will release him and they can sign him.).
Infact Lueke has a chance at being better then Lowe no injuries and he is just nasty from what i seen in Triple A.

“If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. We will find out in [the ALCS] who has the best team. I have no regrets. I am comfortable with not [completing the trade]. In time we will learn if that was the right thing to do.”
Cashman is an asshole. I have nothing nice to say about him. I'm so glad we gave him to the rangers rather than the Yankees.

“They had a huge asset and a major decision,” Cashman said, “and I have no problems with what they did.”
I was referring to that. At least he had the maturity to admit it. So many others were talking about the trade denial like we were f'ing with the mafia.
