I think a thread on a Mariners forum should be dedicated to the biggest douchebag in baseball - Alex Rodriguez. He is such a jerk. First of all, I'm not a very old baseball fan. I started following the Mariners in 2007 and have very few Alex Rodriguez memories. So I'm not creating this thread because I hate him since he's no longer with the Mariners. I could care less. He is just a bad apple in a fun game of baseball.

Corey sent me down to the clubhouse to get an update on how he was feeling. Obviously, I was nervous. I grabbed my digital recorder and headed down there. So there I stood and waited, along with another guy, hoping to talk to Alex. And Alex basically ignored us for a good 10 minutes, telling us to wait and he would talk. Then 10 minutes turned to 20. Finally, it seemed like he was ready to talk. But before he could do that, he walked over to the clubhouse stereo and played his then horrendous walk-up music song of "Who Let the Dogs out?" by the Baja Men at ear splitting decibels.

In spring training this year, perhaps consciously working against the perception that he's too polished, Rodriguez began dropping F-bombs and generally cussing more in conversations and interviews with beat writers. "It was out of nowhere," says Peter Abraham of The Journal News in suburban New York. "It sounded weird, like it wasn't even him."

5. He doesn't care about the team he plays on, he only cares about money. Proven time and time again, it's the money that counts in his game. He pulls out from the Mariners to go to the Rangers. He then is traded from the Rangers to the Yankees. He then jumps out of his contract with the Yankees, only to re-sign because of money.
I've got lots of more reasons, but I gotta go finish homework. May the BOOO's continue for him here as well as Texas. Like Rodriguez? Why? Hate him? Why?
