It's hard to imagine a 38-year-old Jayson Werth putting up $18 million of production.

Need they say more? Nationals overpaid for him. Now how much will Crawford go for?!

Wow. LOL! That was dumb. Best quote I heard today was this (Chris Crawford)- totally sums up how I felt about this deal:


The reason I "hate" this contract the most -- Werth is a really good player, and he has ZERO chance to live up to that.

He'll be rolling in money, but man... He's setting himself up for some crazy criticism. Like Mike Hampton bad.

Nationals seemed to be doing the right thing by hanging low while their talent developed, similar to how the Rays did it before 2008. Yet, they go and screw up bad here. Now their payroll is screwed.

Overpayed. He didn't do much last year i mean i could see if this was for Crawford or A-Gon but Werth? Tell me what he has done consistently to earn this much. Owell Carl Crawford has to be drooling.
