Which former Mariners pitcher would you rather have: Miguel Batista or Carlos Silva? Batista is a reliever with the Washington Nationals and had a 3.7 ERA and Carlos Silva was 10-6 with a 4.22 ERA with the Chicago Cubs.

Are we assuming for the same price? Same price I'd take Carlos Silva. Carlos Silva could eat innings better than Batista. Batista always, and I mean ALWAYS had 1 bad inning when he was a starter where he'd give up 3-4 runs. A starter just can't do that. Silva had some pretty good success to start the year for the Cubs.
