How the site can be better?

As we go into the 2011 season, I expect towards the beginning to middle of the season we will get several new members on the forum as people get excited for opening day. Every month we are getting more hits from google, yahoo and bing which is pretty exciting. What can we do on the forum to make this a place where people will continue to return day after day? Anything bug you about the layout? Something you want to see implemented? Something you want to see dropped?

Comments are much appreciated, but negatives help me more than positives!

I was a mod on some car forums years ago, set up pretty similar to this one. If i were to take away anything, it would be the message board at the top. As more users join, I see it getting flooded. For the time being I enjoy it however, as it's an easy wait to see what's new with all of you.

I would also take that picture of Bill B off your signature, it gives me nightmares. :)

The chatbox?! I love the chatbox. That's the thing that drew me in initially. It might get flooded at times, but it's awesome for games. Last season I would open this site up on my coffee table and post comments while watching games. I think it's better than game threads personally. That's just me.

Hi. I only just joined, and though I haven't yet had time to post as I am having a busy week, from what I can see I like the layout of the site as it is. I wouldn't change anything about it, except maybe increase the maximum size permitted for member avatars to maybe 120 x 120 or even 150 x 150 pixels, having them at 80 x 80 is so pointlessly small that you almost may as well not bother at all, as you can barely make out the image displayed. For example, with Igoe4Mariners avatar, I have pretty good eyesight but I haven't a clue what that is! I like the option to display a sizeable sig image too, it adds color and character to the forum, some forums where they don't even allow them are so boring to llok at, it's all text, like reading a newspaper. Can't think of anything else just now, but as the regular season gets closer I will for sure be posting more, and I'm sure people will pick up on other improvements, but you look to have done a great job so far. I've been trying to do my part lately updating the roster bios, but I've been so busy lately with schoolwork and writing for my other sites that I just haven't had time. This coming week is spring break so hopefully I can get some updates in.

Also, I, too love the chatbox and think it is the best thing about this forum. For gamethreads you have to refresh the page every time something happens, but chatbox you get everyone's thoughts at once pretty much. It's awesome.
