Wanna say hi guys!!

I was looking for a great Mariners fan site/forum...looks like I may have found one!

I am Bu$hleaguer, a big Mariners fan. I am 40 years old, I grew up in the Seattle area, but for the past 25 years I have lived in the city of North Bend, Washington, which is just off I-90 about 30 miles east of Seattle. Some of you may have even seen North Bend on TV, as they shot a lot of the 'Twin Peaks' series right here about 20 years ago, we all used to go and watch them shooting!

I am married and we have 3 amazing kids, a daughter who is 10 years old, and two sons aged 11 and 13, they are all huge Mariners fans too, though my wife is originally from San Francisco, so her and all her relations are Giants fans, so we all sort of root a for the Giants in the NL too. I used to work for the police department, but these days I am basically a 'stay at home dad', my wife works at Nintendo North Bend, which is about the biggest employer around here, chances are that your Nintendo and Mario and Zelda stuff all originated right here! I am a writer of short stories, mainly just for pleasure and as a hobbie, but I even had a few of them published, when I'm writing I tend to do it at night when everyone else is asleep in bed and I can concentrate better, so I will sometimes possibly be posting here at pretty weird times, like now it's almost 1am, I am sometimes still up at 3am or 4am!!

I am looking forward to some baseball, I will try to post as often as I can, though when the kids are home from school we tend to do a lot of family stuff, especially in the evenings. We get to a few Mariners games most seasons, it's always a lot of fun no matter how lousy the team maybe, I gave up stressing out about how bad we usually are a couple of years ago, and now I just try to enjoy the games, win or lose. My favourite players right now are Saunders and Gutierrez, really nice guys too as I met them both!!

Also BIG time into music, rock and grunge, classic rock, some hip hop and R&B/rap, the kids love music too, we go to quite a few shows in Seattle. I also really like hockey, we're big Canucks fans though it means driving up to Vancouver for games, but that's no problem, we went a couple of weeks, probably get to 3 or 4 Canucks games most years. Less interested in football and basketball to be honest, though we have been to a few Seahawks games.

So, I think that's about all you need to know.

See you around.

Welcome Bu$H, glad you found the website, we're glad to have you. Our family goes through North Bend whenever we take I-90 East. It always amazes me how green the area is, I think it's the greenest part of Washington. You sound just like me, for me I'm all baseball, not too big into the others (football and basketball). Mostly just because I have time to follow one sport, and this is flat out the best sport around *biased of course*. Being a Saunders fan, do you see the dude having a breakout year? We need him to, and he really needs to for his own good. One more question, you seem to enjoy your music, you listen to Macklemore's My Oh My tribute?

Welcome aboard.

Yeah, it's a really moving song/tribute, I love it...

Saunders for sure needs to improve a lot, BA of .211 helps nobody, and it's unacceptable, but I can see him picking up this year and making the LF spot his own.
