Hello there ya'll..

I'm Terri and i'm from Mooresville, North Carolina. I am a new resident here to Washington and I gotta say it's like a completely different world out here in these parts. I love it here and plan to call it home here. I moved here 4 months ago...I'd like to go to Mariner's games usually around May-June.

But i'll always be stuck to my family roots. I'm a country-girl through in through. nothing beats hoping on my ATV and go fishing on the Columbia River. Fish on! I'm 6th generation Japanese-American of my family. My grandpa served in WWII and he's still alive at 91 years old today. I do not know a single word of Japanese, FYI. Yes, I know it's sad. Alot of people tell me that..I thought about learning it but I think the southern drawl would get in the way too much..all those words hurt my eyes when I try to read it or even pronounce it.

I'm American born, so that's all I know..Anyway..that's enough about me..what about you guys?

Welcome to the site!
I'm Joseph, a big Mariners fan. I'm a Jr. in Chemical Engineering at the U of W.
Igoe (the other founder of the site) is from North Carolina, (ECU is in Greenville, right)? Welcome to Washington, I love it here. What made you come to this side of the country?

I went to UNC. I will work as a bookkeeper (same as before) but this job pays more and I like it here better. I will miss going to Charlotte to go to NASCAR races, but other than that I'd like to call it home here now.

Welcome to the boards. No better place to live. NW is amazing. Being a Mariners fan can be "tough" from time to time, hang in there :)

Welcome Terri, Keep posting!

My girlfriend is from Goose Creek, SC (graduated from the same high school as Justin Smoak), so I've spent some time down in your and Igoe's neck of the woods. She always complains that she can't find any good sweet tea, and the shrimp here suck for making shrimp and grits. She likes the culture up here a little better though. I'm hoping the Justin Smoak connection will cause her to want to attend more games, so every time he's on TV I yell, "honey! It's Justin Smoak!" and am constantly updating her on his stats... Not sure what effect it's having...

I'm mostly bigger into NASCAR if anything.. and would go to Charlotte every time they have races there. I thought there was alot of Japanese-Americans in the NW? they must be all around Seattle I take it. I was also told there's many in Oregon and the bay area too

Man talk about a small world. I have a very good friend of mine who is a teacher in Mooresville. Also, Clark, I was stationed at Charleston AFB and lived in Goose Creek for a couple years. Nice country down there. Only downside of living in Charleston is the fact the local Single A team happens to be part of the Yankees organization....blah.

Welcome to the board Terri. Glad to have you here.
