Hi guys, I grew up in VA and after 6 yrs in the Air Force I live in NC now. I've only been to Seattle twice (both on military trips to Mcchord AFB) and I've only walked past Safeco, but i loved the huge Ichiro picture on it. I'm 25 and i go to school full time for computer/electrical engineering here in Charlotte.

However, I've been an M's fan since the Mid 90's with the Griffey days. I was mystified by that sweet swing and silky smooth fielding and to this day he's my favorite player. Ichiro is my favorite current player b/c he is just so unique and has a cannon for an arm for such a small guy.

Hopefully better days are ahead for this team.

I am going into chemical engineering so I know the work load you are putting in into electical engineering. Keep it up, hopefully it will pay off for us both.

thanks for the welcoming words everyone. i'm glad i can add to the growing mariners contingent in NC. look forward to hangin aorund the forum, and hopefully a better mariners season.
