Default Athletics at Mariners Rubber Game Thread 4-14-10

    Gio Gonzalez vs. Jason Vargas

A very big game for the Mariners as they look to build on the momentum of last night's big win. They have an off today tomorrow so it would be nice to get a series win going into a 6 game stretch with Detroit and Baltimore before hitting the road.

    The Lineups:

    Oakland Athletics
    Davis CF
    Barton 1B
    Suzuki C
    Kouzmanoff 3B
    Fox DH
    Rosales 2B
    Gross RF
    Patterson LF
    Pennington SS

    Seattle Mariners
    Ichiro RF
    Figgins 2B
    Gutierrez CF
    Lopez 3B
    Bradley DH
    Byrnes LF
    Tuiasosopo 1B
    Moore C
    Wilson SS

Lets hope they can pull it off. Rangers already beating the Indians 2-0 in the 2nd inning. And the Angels already crushed the Yankees (yikes!!)

Not a good start. 2-0 A's on a homer by Jake Fox in the second.

Two baserunning errors by Lopez and Bradley cost the M's runs in the second.

M's lead 4-2 going to the top of the ninth. Aardsma in to close it out.

The DA gets 'em 1-2-3. The Mariners take the series!
