    Default Jose Lopez

We need to get rid of this guy as soon as possible, preferrably by the trade deadline. He is absolutely pathetic up there at the plate. I don't know how many times this year he has killed a big-time rally with a first pitch pop out or by grounding into double plays. The only bright spot with him this year is his defensive play at third (and even with that he struggles sometimes).

I mean, just take a look at these offensive numbers.
    .231 batting average
    4 homers
    26 RBI
    10 walks in 62 games
.573 OPS (AL average is a little above .700)

And that is all from a guy that is a middle of the order hitter. Not to mention the fact he is a corner infielder, who usually are the team's best hitters. Instead he has become one of our worst. He doesn't walk, he doesn't hit for power, and he doesn't hit for average. What does he do?

I know there were rumors about him getting traded before the season and I totally wish we would've pulled the trigger. Instead, now we are stuck with him, although he is most likely gone after this year since the team can choose whether to pick up his option or not. Hopefully, one of the teams that wanted him prior to the season starting will call Jack again and we can get a decent prospect or two for him at the trade deadline.

Just thought I'd add that Ian Snell also needs to be gone. Although no one will want to trade for him. He didn't deserve a thread of his own by the way as he sucks too bad.

Well it really is too bad because before this year, he has been one of the Mariners few productive hitters. I know he doesn't get on base alot, but his hitting can be important for driving in runs. I don't want to see him leave just because of that, but he is indeed not the future of this ball club.

Yeah. He was one of our better RBI guys the past couple of years, but now that he is failing to get that done I think it's best we get rid of him. He honestly brings nothing to the table if he doesn't have a high average because he walks hardly ever and he doesn't fit the Jack Z mold of the players he wants on this team anyway.

Yeah, he doesn't have any plate patience as we've discussed (only to have it erased from posterity by Russian penis enlarging debt consolidation pill salesmen!), so his only value comes when he is able to drive the ball and knock in runs. He has shown only flashes of a former self that was basically untradeable in the off season. We won't see much for this guy in the way of a trade. My plan would be to fleece Kansas City out of Alex Gordon so they can put him with his old partner in crime, Yuni!

Ian Snell sucks so hard. He's like a lamprey on the thin scaled exterior of the Seattle Mariners. Him and Rob Johnson. Just go away!

LOL. No place on the roster for Ian Snells or Robbie "Pasball" Johnsons. For that matter, we could throw in half of the roster or more.
