Default Most frustrating team I've ever watched...

First-time poster here...like the forum, nice to have somewhere to vent. I attempted to start a blog, something like Prospect Insider and USS Mariner but without any help it became too much for me...

Anyway, am I the only one who thinks this team is extremely frustrating? It seems like the trend of the season is win three, lose seven.... The four-game win steak for some odd reason has me optimistic, even though I'm sure tomorrow will go back to normal and we'll be on another losing streak. The weekend series was what we thought we'd be seeing all year...but hey, theres always the Seahawks!

Completely agree, way worse than 2008 for me. The reason I think that this season hurts so much is the fact we all felt so refreshed to rid Bavisi. We thought that Jack Z and company were going to overhaul everything and make this a division championship team in their second year...

In 2008 we had the same GM, same manager (sorta), same players for the most part... and then we blew. This time it's a whole new team, whole new manager, GM and we still blow. So do we overhaul again? I say no, but it's a tough call for the ownership. So yeah, I don't understand those who say this is much better than 2008.
The only thing better than 2008 I see is the fact that we have a better farm system. Besides that, it's a pretty sad time to be a Mariners fan.

With that unhappy note though, welcome to the forum SeattleSportsNerd! Thanks for signing up! Is your blog still up and running?

I agree. We're headed in the right direction and hopefully we will experience baseball in october again sometime soon. The farm system is light years ahead of where it was just a yr and a half ago even...

No, the blog is done. I needed to find guys like you to write with but didn't, lol. Maybe in the future ill do it again, as i love writing, but ill get some help. A full-time job and a baby make it a little tough...

Welcome SeattleSportsNerd! Good to have another member on this board. It has a great format, we just need more members and it would be great.

Anyways, yeah this team is incredibly frustrating to watch. It's like they try to find a different way to lose every game. I can't tell you how many hours of my life I have wasted away watching this team daily only to suck. It's depressing, but I still try to watch all the games that I can because I don't want to give up on my team. Who knows maybe we'll make a miraculous playoff run (unlikely I know) and this could turn into one of the best Mariner seasons ever. I still hold faint hope after every two game winning streak, but I also try to keep a realistic level-head at the same time.

^^^Dood, I'm the same way. Especially after weekends like the one we just had. Everyone knows this team is capable of waaaay more than its shown this year, so I too still hold out hope that there's a miraculous playoff run in them. That's the difference between true fans and most other Seattle fans, we stick by our teams no matter what. I often find myself watching Mariner games going "what's the point?" but yet I'm still watching. I just hope that someday we'll be rewarded for caring so much, lol.

If you keep watching the games when your team is possibly going to lose 100 games that year, then you are a true sports fan lol.
