The Mariners and Free Agents/ Trades 2011
Ok, so I think I'll go over what we allready know, the pitching rocks, the offense sucks. Here is the list of moves we need to carry out this offseason (In my opinion)
1. Trade Jose Lopez and start Matt Tui
2. Bench/Trade/Release Milton Bradely
3. Sign Carl Crawford to huge multi-year contract.
4. Breed Justin Smoak into an amazing player
5. Resign Russel Branyan to a 2 or 3 year contract.
5.5 Resign Vargas! (if needed)
6. Tell the Ownership group that they suck.
7. Fail again in 2011 but improve with big hopes for a Offense oriented 2012 Mariners.
Also, Why does Jack Wilson suck?? He is incredibly talented, but we can't seem to suck any production out of the guy! Release Casey Kotchman and replace him with Russel Branyan!

No way we get Carl Crawford especially in a rebuilding phase with the $$ he would demand we need to get a innings eating pitcher though.

Welcome to the site dude. I agree with some of it, others I would differ with.
Justin Smoak, agree. The guy needs to become an amazing player. He has the ability.
Jason Vargas has arbitration with the Mariners through 2013, so no need to resign, we just run him through his first arbitration.
I wouldn't resign Branyan to a 2 or 3 year contract, he is 34 years old with back problems. 1 year at best is all I would consider. Even that, not sure I would. We need someone long term.
You can bet that Carl Crawford will ben an Angel next year. They've been planning to sign him for quite some time and have the salary available. The Mariners do not at the moment.
My takes. Welcome to the forum man.
